First Non-Tweet Post

Welcome.

This is my first non-tweet post after getting WordPress up and running. I considered using Apache Roller, but it hasn’t had a new release in two plus years, plus the add-on community surrounding WordPress seems much more vibrant.

WordPress was very easy to install as were the addition of new themes and plugins. My first plugin was Twitter Tools (hence all the tweets on the page).

Overall the WordPress admin interface is very intuitive and I look forward to discovering more of its capabilties.

Realistic assessment of the Sun/Oracle merger vis-avis MySQL, I’m inclined to agree. Get your forks ready http://is.gd/tI6f @LinuxMagazine
